Our Wedding

We first met on a football field when we were nine years old, as our dads coached Josh’s Lenape Valley football team. Years later, fate (and really cool moms) brought us back together. Although our relationship started while we were six feet apart during COVID, nothing has kept us apart ever since. We first bonded in the kitchen, sharing recipes and making new ones together as we listened to The Eagles, Journey and John Cougar on vinyl. We have traveled around the world, exploring Italy, Costa Rica, Thailand and Spain. Our relationship grew stronger when Gianna brought home Easton, our Great Pyrenees, who might be a little too spoiled with leftovers from our cooking. Now, Gianna is starting her career as a veterinarian, Josh is conducting oncology research, and we are looking forward to building our life together in the greater Philadelphia area.

When and where is the wedding ceremony?The wedding ceremony will take place on October 9, 2027, on our family property, Sycamore Lane Farm. More details about the address and timing will be shared with guests closer to the date. Is there an event the night before?Yes, there will be a private church ceremony and rehearsal dinner on the evening of October 8, 2027. This event is by invitation only and attendance is limited to those who receive an invitation. What happens if the weather is bad?The ceremony will be held outdoors in a flower field with a floor, and we are prepared for whatever the weather brings. If it rains, a tent will be in place to keep everyone covered during the ceremony. The reception is held under a tent, and if it rains, sides will be added to keep things cozy and dry. No matter what, the celebration goes on! What is the dress code?Dress is black-tie optional. We encourage guests to dress up and celebrate with us! Tuxedos and formal gowns are welcome, as is formal cocktail attire. We kindly ask that women avoid wearing white, as that honor is reserved for the bride. Keep in mind that the ceremony is held outdoors in a flower field, so you may want to plan your footwear accordingly. Where do I park?More details, including directions and any parking instructions, will be shared closer to the date. Check back soon! Is this an adult-only wedding?Yes, this is an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening. Exceptions have been made for some family children, who will be noted on their household invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you! Will my dietary needs be accommodated?Absolutely. We will have menu options to accommodate all food sensitivities and dietary requirements. Please note any dietary needs on your RSVP so we can make sure you are taken care of. Is there a room block at a nearby hotel?Yes! We are reserving a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for out-of-town guests. Hotel details, rates, and booking instructions will be added here soon. Check back closer to the date. When will I receive a save-the-date and invitation?Save-the-dates will be mailed in fall 2026. Formal invitations will follow in summer 2027. How do I RSVP?RSVPs will be by mail. Your invitation, arriving in summer 2027, will include a reply card and return envelope. Please send it back by the date noted on your invitation. Can guests take photos? Guests are welcome to take and share photos at the wedding. We do ask that all cameras and phones are put away and silenced during the ceremony. Once we have our “first kiss,” as husband and wife, you are encouraged to take photos and videos as we dance down the aisle. We have a fantastic team of photographers and videographers who will capture the ceremony, and we want to see your smiling faces and shared joy in those photos. Will there be a bar?We will have a full bar featuring cocktails and mocktails, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are toasting with a signature drink or a beautifully crafted zero-proof option, you will be well taken care of all night long. Are pets permitted?There are plenty of farm animals for guests to visit and our dog, Easton, prefers to be the bell of the ball since he is in charge of the rings. Don’t worry, if you have allergies, he will only be outside and only at the ceremony.

Michener Art Museum: Dedicated to the art of the Bucks County region, with a celebrated collection of Pennsylvania Impressionism and rotating exhibitions. Mercer Museum: A one-of-a-kind concrete castle housing Henry Mercer's vast collection of pre-industrial tools and artifacts. An unforgettable afternoon. Fonthill Castle: Henry Mercer's extraordinary home, covered floor to ceiling in handmade tiles. Guided tours are a must. Book in advance as it sells out. Moravian Pottery and Tile Works: A working history museum where Mercer's tile-making tradition lives on. Watch artisans craft tiles by hand and browse the gift shop. County Theatre: A beloved nonprofit art house cinema in the heart of Doylestown, showing independent films and classics since 1938.

Food and Drink

Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery: One of our favorites. A laid-back winery with live music, weekend food trucks, and great local wine. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening out. Philly Philly Cheesesteaks: The real deal for cheesesteaks, and a special place for our family. This is where Josh asked Scott for Gianna's hand in marriage. Lucatelli's Pizzeria: Our go-to pizza spot. Thin crust, fresh ingredients, and a fun atmosphere with a Vespa-themed interior. Great for a casual night out. Genevieve's Kitchen: An intimate gem right in downtown Doylestown. Perfect for a special dinner with outstanding seasonal American food. Annie's Water Ice: Authentic Italian water ice and soft serve ice cream in Doylestown. A must-stop treat, especially on a warm October afternoon.

Outdoors

Solebury Orchards: A beloved pick-your-own apple orchard open on weekends in the fall. Fresh cider donuts and tractor rides make it a perfect October outing. Note: currently open Saturdays only, so plan accordingly. Peace Valley Park and Lake Galena: A beautiful county park with a six-mile trail looping around Lake Galena. Great for walking, biking, kayaking, and picnicking. Peace Valley Lavender Farm: A serene lavender farm just minutes from the venue, with fields to wander, lavender products to browse, and a shop full of thoughtful gifts. Ralph Stover State Park: A scenic park along Tohickon Creek with hiking trails and stunning views. This is where Josh proposed to Gianna at the historic red bridge.

Explore the Region

New Hope: A vibrant riverfront borough full of eclectic shops, galleries, restaurants, and live music along the Delaware River. A perfect afternoon trip. Peddler's Village: A charming 42-acre open-air shopping village in Lahaska with independent boutiques, restaurants, and seasonal festivals.
